The company

Sisme is a company that designs and produces special asynchronous electric motors. It was formed in 1957 and is located in Olgiate Comasco in the province of Como in northern Italy, and at present there are 950 employees.
Sisme has been satisfying the strictest requirements of the market for more than 50 years and puts its experience, technical resources and highly automated lines at its customers’ disposal.
Our main policy is for the complete satisfaction of our customer, assuring a high quality level as demonstrated by our quality system that we obtained ISO 9001 Certificate in 1993.
Also the strategy is to always improve our own quality system. Sisme succeeded on July, 15th 2002 in obtaining ISO 9001: 2000 - Vision 2000 adjustment.
Sisme has been classified in 1999-2000-2001 as among the top 500 European companies that most increased both the invoiced and employees’ numbers.
Sisme has received many recognitions from its major customers as their best supplier of electric motors. Amongst the most important, the biennal one received since its creation by Bosch und Siemens Hausgeräte in 1992/93, 1994/95, 1996/97, 1998/99 and 2000/01.

In 2004 it is opened a new plant Sisme China in Tianjin (China) to satisfy the requests of one of the markets with the highest and quickest expansion in the world

In 2008, following the trend of growth of the market, a new plant in China is built in order to strengthen the production resources for the local and far east market.
