As far as research and development is concerned, the company’s nerve centre is in Italy: Olgiate Comasco is the site of all processes.
Integration of skills and continuous innovation are the keywords that allow Sisme’s products to evolve constantly.
The R&D centre conducts research in the fields of Electronics, Mechanics, Chemistry and Materials. It carries out research on new materials and deals with mechanical, electromagnetic and electronic design. It analyses product reliability and validates processes. It develops, integrates and tests software and hardware.

A crucial part of the research process is the phase involving simulations and experimental tests. A fully-equipped, state-of-the-art laboratory carefully examines any critical issues.
In order to be able to declare the products suitable, it meticulously carries out surge tests, tests on earth continuity, dielectric strength and electrical absorption, acoustic tests and life tests. Some of these checks are then also replicated downstream of production, to verify that quality standards are met.

The first phases of developing a new product take place in the Olgiate Comasco headquarters in Italy. Through use of the latest numerical calculation tools and 3D modelling, Sisme’s R&D division is able to synthesise knowledge acquired over the years into designs which can satisfy the most complex customer requests.

Making use of traditional and advanced mechanical processing (including 3D printing and laser cutting), Sisme can produce prototypes of designed objects in a very short time, managing to effectively realise the 3D modelling developed.

In the laboratory, Sisme validates the prototypes produced, making sure that they fully comply with the design specifications (mechanical and electrical). In order to be able to declare the products suitable, it meticulously carries out surge tests, tests on earth continuity, dielectric strength and electrical absorption, acoustic tests and life tests.

Sisme motors are made in full compliance with the current European regulations in force, respecting the limits they impose according to different categories.
For brushless motors, where the electronic control boards are a key element, Sisme can carry out pre-analysis on emissions in order to help customers in the final validation phases by third parties.

This meticulous modus operandi fully embraces Sisme’s philosophy: 360° support for the customer and their needs.
